Unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that Stauer is a victim of fake reviews. Steinhausen claims they have been around since 1923 which is a lie. Stauer doesnt claim that. This led to the fake-watch enthusiasts referring to it incorrectly as a 'Lemania replica'. But so far as I know, there is no design overlap between Sea-Gull and Omega watch movements. All of this is irrelevant.
If San Martin is at the top end of Ali-X copy watch stuff, Stauer is near, if not the absolute bottom. I had one, pure unadulterated garbage. If there's a "price war" among tritium watches, Ball doesn't seem to have gotten the memo. I called STAUER and they asked me to send it back to them, so I did. I guess we'll see what I get back.either way.good.bad. My question is.what kind of luck have any of you had with the watches that STAUER sells?

Cheap but good for the money. I have the 1930 and it is a perfectly mediocre watch. I will add that if you buy from them directly they will bombard you with Stauer catalogs.
